Our chosen charity for Christmas 2024

Our Christmas charity this year is Parenting Special Children. Based in Reading and supporting families in the West Berkshire local authority area, this charity works with neurodivergent children and young people, with diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, PDA, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Tourette’s. The charity works to celebrate difference, and to help them with the complexities of social interaction in the wider world.
As a family law firm specialising in separation and divorces involving SEND children, we chose to donate this Christmas to Parenting Special Children, as they offer practical, accessible support to neurodiverse and SEND children and their families in our local area.
Parenting Special Children empowers families whose children/young people, and supports both families and professionals directly via a wide range of specialist services. These include support groups, confidence courses for school age children, and specialist training courses for parents and carers.
Their main fundraising in 2025 will be to fund two key projects:
1) Auticulate, a social confidence communication group for autistic/ADHD children and young people aged between 8-16 in mainstream schools.
2) The A Team - A monthly group for autistic/ADHD girls and young women (age 8 to 18) to meet, socialise, have fun and try new things.
If you'd like to donate this Christmas, please help them reach their target and ensure these valuable sessions can run in 2025. If you donate now via The Good Exchange, your donation will be matched pound for pound, making it worth double!
