Law internships at LGFL Ltd
LGFL Ltd offer two highly-sought after internships to law and business students, offering a valuable and practical insight into working in family law.
Internships at LGFL Ltd
Our internships give young people at the start of their careers the opportunity to see the workings of a law company as a integral part of the LGFL Ltd team. We offer a structured programme of work and related activities, including:
- Participation in casework
- Shadowing in court
- In-depth mentoring from our Directors
Our paid internships are open to law students, those studying for business degrees, or those interested in a career in business administration, as the experience interns gain can be transferred to any industry or market sector. We are particularly interested in giving motivated and talented individuals to become the brilliant lawyers of tomorrow.
The LGFL 'hands-on' internship
Our internships at LGFL Ltd are very much hands-on, and interns become part of the LGFL team from day one. The work is varied, and there are plenty of chances to be involved in the business side of our busy law firm. Interns participate in all aspects of our work, including legal research, assisting our lawyers with courtroom preparation, helping clients, office work, and filing. Our interns work with us during their college or university holidays, or on day release. This helps interns to fund their studies, and gain valuable industry experience.
City expertise in the Berkshire countryside
LGFL Ltd provides City-level expertise in a countryside setting. We work with as many high net worth and international clients as many London-based firms, but without the need for expensive London offices. So interns can gain high-level experience with us and avoid the high costs of commuting into London everyday.
Our offices are in Swallowfield, Berkshire, within easy travelling distance of Reading and Basingstoke. We are based in a busy business centre, so interns can meet and socialise with other business professionals.
Why apply for a law internship
A quality law internship offers law undergraduates the best possible chances of employment after graduation or completion of a LPC qualification. Past interns have gone on to secure trainee positions at prestigious law firms in London and across Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire.
