This 1 July, the team here at Leiper Gupta Family Lawyers Ltd are celebrating our seventh year in business, providing expert family law advice to a diverse range of clients in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and beyond. It’s been a fascinating, exhilarating and highly successful seven years too!
How it all began
Business Partners Rita Gupta and Anne Leiper first met in the Family Law department of a firm of local solicitors. Rita had developed both and interest and expertise in Family Law and domestic violence resolution.Anne was the Partner of the Family Law department Rita joined, gaining extensive experience in all areas of family law and particular expertise in dealing with financial settlements and solutions on relationship breakdown.
Founding principles of LGFL LLP
In 2008, the two ladies decided to set up their own practice, to offer a different approach to family law than many local family lawyers were able to offer.
They created their boutique family law firm with three principles firmly in mind:
- No two cases are the same – all services are individually tailored to each client
- Easy access for all clients to successful litigators, especially in the light of rising court applications over the last few years.
- City expertise can be located in the country – clients should be able to access City level advice in a relaxing and discreet environment
Since moving to their offices in Park House at Warbrook House in Eversley, the two Partners have developed and enhanced their interest in collaborative law and reduced stress approaches to divorce, family disputes and relationship planning.
Anne is now a fully accredited Collaborative Lawyer and is active in her local Collaborative law POD. Rita is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and is a member of Resolution.
