Rita Gupta nominated for Venus Awards
Rita has been announced as a finalist for the Hampshire Professional of the Year 2017 at the Venus Awards.
Our Director Rita Gupta is up for a Hampshire Venus Award! At LGFL Ltd, we’re really proud of Rita’s many achievements for her clients and the local community, so we thought we’d highlight a few of them.
As an experienced Law Society mentor, Rita is keen to offer the next generation of young lawyers and business people a quality, paid internship that sets them up for their future careers.
LGFL Ltd internships
LGFL Ltd may be a boutique law firm, but Rita ensures the company helps as many local, national and international causes as it can. Charities supported so far in 2017 illustrate Rita’s commitment to improving the opportunities for children and young people across the world.
- The School for Justice - a inspiration school that trains girls who survive sex trafficking and forced prostitution to become lawyers. In turn, the girls aim to use their law degree to prosecute the traffickers.
- Toybox - helping street children escape from exploitation and danger, and giving them back the chance to go to school.
- The Spotlight Centre Popley, Basingstoke
Often, a charity is worth supporting more than once. The Spotlight Centre in Basingstoke provides affordable activities to all, plus support to vulnerable families. Rita and fellow Director Anne have sponsored a dance class, and this autumn will be supporting the charity’s fundraising ball.
Supporting local sport
Rita is a keen football fan, often seen cheering her son from the touchline, or roaring her support from the stands at Reading FC!
Rita is keen to support local companies and suppliers wherever possible, as shown by the company’s recent move to new offices at a business centre in Swallowfield, Reading. Based in the quiet of the Berkshire countryside, this business centre helps support the local economy at a micro level, as well as offering clients a more relaxing environment than a crowded city centre location.
