Good Divorce Week at LGFL Ltd
At LGFL Ltd, we’re proud members of Resolution, a group of family law professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way.
This week, Resolution is promoting Good Divorce Week, to highlight how we and other family lawyers adhere to a Code designed to help us help families better.

No fault-divorce is an important step that would take much of the bitterness and resentment felt post-divorce, and recognise that in many divorce cases, there simply isn’t any one person to blame. On Wednesday, 150 Resolution members will meet with MPs in Parliament to highlight the pressing need for no-fault divorce in an ever-changing society.
Why LGFL Ltd support Resolution
LGFL Director Anne Leiper is a mediator working towards qualification, and has seen first hand how the Code of Practice is the start for a better way of approaching family issues and divorce.
“Resolution membership is about the approach I take to my work. This means that as a Resolution member, I will always seek to reduce or manage any conflict and confrontation, support and encourage families to put the best interests of any children first and act with honesty, integrity and objectivity.I know from my years working as a family law professional, that clients reach the best outcomes when they are helped to understand and manage the potential long-term financial and emotional consequences of decisions. This is why I use experience and knowledge to guide my clients through the options available to them.”
The Resolution Code of Practice promotes a constructive approach to family issues and considers the needs of the whole family, in particular the best interests of children. It includes our commitment to:
-
Reduce or manage any conflict and confrontation; for example, by not using inflammatory language.
-
Support and encourage families to put the best interests of any children first.
-
Act with honesty, integrity and objectivity.
-
Help clients understand and manage the potential long-term financial and emotional consequences of decisions.
-
Listen to and treat everyone with respect and without judgment.
-
Use my experience and knowledge to guide clients through the options available to them.
-
Continually develop my knowledge and skills.
-
Use the Resolution Guides to Good Practice in my day-to-day work.
